Noorium

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 August 2026

This page explains what information Noorium collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Noorium is an Islamic companion app (Quran, prayer times, Hadith, Duas, an AI learning assistant, and related features) available across multiple schools of Islamic thought.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect precise location beyond what's needed to calculate accurate prayer times and Qibla direction, we do not collect contact lists, and there is no in-app payment system, so we do not collect payment information.

2. How We Use Your Information

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication). Access to your personal data in our database is restricted by security rules so that only your own signed-in account can read or write it.

4. Children's Privacy

Noorium Family is designed for a parent and child to mutually link accounts to share prayer-completion progress. We do not knowingly collect more information from a child's account than is needed for this feature, and a link only becomes active once both sides have separately approved it.

5. Third-Party Services

6. Your Choices

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Noorium's features change. Material changes will be reflected in the app's "What's New" section.

Religious Content & AI Disclaimer

Noorium presents educational content — including AI Chat responses — across multiple schools of Islamic thought (Ja'fari, Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, Hanbali) with attributed sources, and aims to present each fairly rather than favor one over another.

Noorium AI is an educational tool, not a personal religious authority. It does not issue personal religious rulings (fatwas). For a ruling on your specific situation, please consult a qualified scholar of your own school of thought.
